Predicting the 2023 NC State Wolfpack Record

The Wolfpack enter the 2023 campaign with a new man under center in Brennan Armstrong after he transferred in from Virginia after the Wolfpack lost their starting quarterback Devin Leary to Kentucky.

With Armstrong behind center for the Wolfpack, it could mean one of two things; NC State is going to win a lot of games, or there will be a lot of inconsistencies with the Armstrong-lead team. Armstrong is perfectly capable of lighting up a defense. We saw that plenty two years ago at Virginia.

NC State 2023 season prediction:

  • UConn – W
  • Notre Dame – L
  • VMI – W
  • Virginia – W (Armstrong has a career day against his former team)
  • Louisville – L
  • Marshall – W
  • Duke – L
  • Clemson – L
  • Miami – L
  • Wake Forest – W
  • Virginia Tech – W
  • North Carolina – W

I gave NC State the win over UNC primarily due to the fact that it is a home game. The week of Duke to Miami could also be a tough, yet winnable stretch for the Wolfpack as well. Although I got them losing all three do not be surprised to see them slip in a win or two in that stretch. My prediction is the Wolfpack go (7-5, 4-4).
