The @accnetwork fails bigtime with Spring Games coverage.

Every time the ACC Network takes a step forward in its programming, they take a step back.

The Final Four coverage for the Virginia Tech women, and Miami men was spot on. There was non-stop coverage, interviews, and a focus you’d expect from a conference network.

On to the spring games, and the ACC Network failed big time.

The ACC Network is televising exactly ONE Spring Game.   That would be the Virginia spring game.

Now there couple of football shows on the ACCN that hit the mark. We have some draft shows and a Spring Football Review.

Thursday, April 20 6 pm ACC Huddle: Draft Analysis Special ACCN
Monday, April 24 7 pm ACC Huddle: Spring Football Review ACCN
Tuesday, April 25 9 pm ACC Huddle: Welcome to the NFL ACCN

The question is why is the spring game coverage so bad? Whoever made the decision made the wrong one.

The rest of the spring games are streaming on ACCNX.

Come on that’s unacceptable.

It’s understandable that when multiple spring games are at the same time, well someone is going streaming. That’s OK, but April 15 could have been a showcase for Spring Football Day for the ACC.

A spring game at 12 rather than a Virginia/Duke men’s lacrosse game, then sure keep the Virginia game. Then the 4 PM Florida State spring game instead of the Virginia Tech/Notre Dame softball game at 5.

I have nothing against lacrosse or softball. They should be televised and televised often, but football still drives the bus.

You could even keep the softball game, and from 12-5 go around the ACC with live look-ins across all the games.

Friday you have a baseball game between Virginia Tech and Florida State at 8, and Louisville and Syracuse spring games at 7.

Start one of the spring games at 6, and televise it.

This isn’t complicated and is a major flop by ESPN, the ACC Network, and the ACC.
