The ACC’s three biggest questions of week 13.

Can the ACC win the ACC/SEC Rivalry week?

Yes the ACC can certainly win it this year. Florida State will be a fairly heavy favorite against Florida. Georgia Tech will be a huge underdog against Georgia. Clemson will be favored against South Carolina, but that’s no gimme given the Gamecock’s recent thrashing of Tennessee. Louisville has been a solid second-half team, and heads to Kentucky in a virtual toss-up game. This is the ACC’s best chance to win rivalry week in years. If they do that, the ACC will hold a 5-4 year edge over the SEC. Playoff implications, bragging rights, and more – There’s a lot on the line this week.

Are Drake Maye’s Heisman chances over?

The answer to this is yes. Georgia Tech snatched that hope away from Maye in an upset victory that was Maye’s worst performance of the season. That said Maye still has plenty to play for. If he plays well against NC State and UNC wins he will probably get an invite to NYC. That’s a great recruiting tool for UNC and a big moment for Maye. While the Heisman is likely gone, NYC is a nice consolation prize.

Could Duke really have a8-winin regular season?

Two 7-4 teams Duke and Wake Forest meet up Saturday. This is a quality under-the-radar game. Duke is hosting Wake Forest, and the Deacs despite beating Syracuse are not the team they were in the 1st half of the season. Duke can definitely win this game. With Mack Brown and UNC losing to Georgia Tech, Brown lost his shot at ACC COY. Mike Norvell is in the picture, but Elko has won this award already and an 8-4 regular season would only make the Duke season more remarkable.
