ACC Power Rankings after Week 10

ACC Team of the Week : NC State – for a 30-21 win over Wake Forest

14. Boston College (2-7)

Last Week: 14

Boston College competed well with Duke, but going to NC State is not where you expect they can get their third win.

13. Virginia Tech (2-7)

Last Week: 13

Did you ever think Virginia Tech would sink this low? It could be years before the Hokies are relevant again.

12. Virginia  (3-6)

Last Week: 12

Virginia gave UNC everything they wanted. I think the Hoos have another win in them.

11. Miami (4-5)

Last Week: 10

Florida State took Miami and just blasted them. The Canes are the ACC’s most disappointing team by a wide margin.

10. Georgia Tech (4-5)

Last Week : 11

Brent Key instilled a no quit mentality not seen at Georgia Tech since Paul Johnson. Miami is a chance to get to 5-5.

9. Syracuse (6-3)

Last week: 6

Good things Syracuse is already bowl eligible with surging Florida State next.

8. Pitt (5-4)

Last week:  9

Pittsburgh stopped the bleeding of a disappointing season with a win over Syracuse. Don’t sleep on Virginia, who can cause some problems despite their record.

7. Duke (6-3)

Last Week: 8

Duke is already bowl eligible. Everything else is a bonus, but Virginia Tech this week can add to the win total.

6. Wake Forest (6-3)

Last Week: 4

Clemson’s second-half decline, has masked a similar decline in play at Wake Forest in the second of the season. Now they face the ACC’s best offense in UNC.

5. Louisville (6-3)

Last Week: 7

Louisville and Clemson are going in opposite directions in terms of play and confidence. If the Cardinals left Death Valley with a win, it would not surprise me.

4. Florida State (6-3)

Last Week: 5

The Noles are starting to put it all together – ask Miami. Syracuse better be ready or it could get real ugly for them.

3. NC State (7-2)

Last Week: 5

MJ Morris is keeping the Wolfpack in position to have a 10 win season. Boston College should provide a bit of breather this week.

2. North Carolina (8-1)

Last Week: 4

Drake Maye is playing the QB position as well as just about anyone in the country. They catch reeling Wake Forest this week.

1. Clemson (8-1)

Last Week: 1

I really hesitated to keep Clemson at 1 after the debacle against Notre Dame, but they haven’t lost an ACC game – yet. If they keep playing the way they have been either Louisville or the ACCCG is going to be an L.
