After NC State win, the ACC runs through Clemson in 2022.

Saturday night’s 30-20 win over NC State, has established Clemson as the team to beat in the ACC for 2022.

The Tiger’s defense finally looked more like what we expected coming into the season. They held the Wolfpack to just 34 rushing yards, and under 300 total yards. The defensive line looked as spry as it has all year even without DT Bryan Bresee in the game.

They dominated the 2nd half of the game.

On offense QB DJ Uiagalelei is playing his most consistent football of his Clemson career. He bailed Clemson out against Wake Forest and played a smart efficient game against NC State. Clemson still lacks explosion on offense, but the combination of what we saw Saturday makes Clemson the unquestioned ACC favorite.

They already won at Wake Forest and have taken out a very good NC State team. There is still a road game at dangerous Florida State and a game with a much improved Syracuse team. We’ve seen lesser Dino Babers teams give Clemson huge battles.

The Tigers have everything in front of them now – the playoffs, the ACC.

Clemson is by no means a finished product, but who is? Georgia trailed in the 4th qtr to a bad Missouri team. Alabama needed a late FG to beat a mediocre Texas, and Ohio State struggled with Notre Dame who lost at home to Marshall.

Clemon is again trending upward at the right time.
