ACC Power Rankings after Week 4

ACC Team of the Week : Clemson – for a 51-45 OT win over Wake Forest

14. Georgia Tech (1-3)

Last Week : 14

The biggest story out of Atlanta these days is who is going to be Jackets next permanent head coach.

13. Boston College (1-3)

Last Week: 13

Boston College got routed at Florida State. It’s going to be a long season at BC.

12. Virginia  (2-2)

Last Week: 12

Virginia played hard at Syracuse, but lost. Duke is an intriguing game, because the winner can really think about making a bowl game.

11. Virginia Tech (2-2)

Last Week: 11

Virginia Tech has no offense, and North Carolina has no defense. North Carolina plays great offense, and Virginia Tech is a stingy defensive team. This should be an interesting one.

10. Louisville (2-2)

Last Week: 9

Scott Satterfield better not lose to Boston College this week or it might be the final nail in his coaching coffin.

9. Miami (2-2)

Last Week: 6

What in the world happened to Miami against Middle Tennessee State? The Canes look disinterested and unmotivated and got thumped. The Canes can use the BYE week to wonder what happened.

8. Duke (3-1)

Last Week: 9

Duke played decently at Kansas but fell just short. The game with Virginia has bowl implications.

7. North Carolina (3-1)

Last Week: 7

North Carolina is this year’s 2021 Virginia. All offense, no defense. Virginia Tech is this weekend.

6. Syracuse (4-0)

Last week: 8

Syracuse needs to keep riding the wave as long as they can. Wagner is this week, and the Cuse will be 5-0. What a start to the year for Dino Babers and company.

5. Wake Forest (3-1)

Last Week: 5

Wake Forest came oh so close to beating Clemson. This is a good team, but has too many defensive holes.

4. Pitt (3-1)

Last week:  4

Pitt looks like the Coastal’s best team by a wide wide margin. Georgia Tech shouldn’t be a problem.

3. Florida State (4-0)

Last Week: 3

Florida State can make a statement this weekend when a feisty Wake Forest comes to town.

2. NC State (4-0)

Last Week: 2

OK NC State you’ve been waiting for a game like this for years – Clemson NC State and a chance to get into the playoff chase.

1. Clemson (4-0)

Last Week: 1

The good news is that QB DJ Uiagalelei is coming right along, and looks good. The bad news is that supposed elite defense can’t stop quality passing attacks. If Clemson wants to win the ACC, and/or make a playoff run they need to fix that right away.
