We discussed a few days ago what a restructured ACC ESPN Media rights deal could look like.
One of those options – the Pac 12 ACC TV Merger seems to still be alive.
‘Perhaps better than 50-50’ was how Jon Wilner assessed the chances of the #Pac12 arriving at a new TV deal with the #ACC. https://t.co/rNsOkqYqPb

When Jon Wilner isn’t tangling with Big 12 fans on twitter, he’s known to be one of the more plugged-in Pac 12 Media Members out there.
Another Pac 12 Media John Canzano in a recent article of his had this to say about the ACC Pac 12 TV Merger.
Q: A few weeks ago an alliance between the Pac-12 and the ACC sounded like the best option for both conferences going forward. I haven’t heard any talk of the alliance lately and heard no mention at the Pac-12 media day of the ACC. — @dpstang
A: I’m told a “loose partnership” is still very much on the table. It solves financial problems for the ACC and Pac-12 and allows ESPN to get the Pacific Time Zone and a pile of new content for ESPN+.
This is a tough call for me to say whether it happens or not, but I’m convinced ESPN is working on something with the ACC and if this is one of the ways more revenue can be generated for the ACC then I’m all for it.
