When the ACC Network gets programming right.

The ACC Network has been uneven at best in their non-live sports programming. Earlier this year poorly received documentary on Notre Dame’s football year in the ACC fell flat with ACC fans.

We asked blog contributor @mattzemek  a couple of years back what kind of programming should the ACC Network have?

The SEC Network has the “SEC Storied” documentary franchise. Use that for the ACC — I’m confident ESPN will get this part right. Tell stories old and new and everywhere in between, educating viewers on the history and legacy of the ACC and the people who built the conference.

Well the ESPN and the ACC Network have put together a series I’m going to watch that celebrates ACC History.

I remember being a kid and saying I was sick just to go home and watch the ACC Tournament. This was “the” conference basketball tournament.

I’ve have to gone the tournament several times, and it’s still one of my favorite sporting events to attend.

This series should be really good.
