Paolo Banchero – Duke – Forward

All-ACC Midseason Player of the Year

Paolo Banchero – Duke – Forward

Notes:

  • Also considered for All-ACC Midseason Player of the Year was NC State’s Dereon Seabron, who is doing his best job of “being the Erick Green show.”  He is the entity keeping NC State afloat after Manny Bates’ injury.  I actually think Seabron has a chance to win this award – and I might change my mind by the end of the season. Allondes Williams is in contention, too.
  • Also considered for All-ACC Midseason Coach of the Year was Wake Forest’s Steve Forbes, who is doing a hell of a job for the Demon Deacons.  Wake Forest has a legitimate shot at an NCAA bid.

Notes:

  • My toughest choice was going with Pitt’s John Hugley over Virginia Tech’s Keve Aluma. That was so close, and Aluma can still be 1st or 2nd team All-ACC player when all is said and done.
  • The player of the year chase between Alondes Williams and Paolo Banchero is going to be fun to watch. Dereon Seabron is going to be right there too.
