Dave Clawson led Wake Forest to an ACC Atlantic Division title after being pre-season picked 5th in the division. Wake Forest went on to win 11 games. Now men’s basketball coach Steve Forbes has a Wake Forest team picked pre-season 13th, off and running with a 12-3 (2-2) record.
There is growing optimism at Wake Forest that the Deacs can make a run at a NCAA tournament bid. They only have 1 bid (2017) since 2010.
Wake Forest may have the best football men’s basketball combo in the ACC, and that speaks to the fine work of Clawson, Forbes, AD John Currie, and his predecessor Ron Wellman.
Can Wake Forest pull basketball football COY double? It’s certainly possible.
