With ACC Title, Pat Narduzzi breaks ceiling on how good Pitt can be.

For eleven straight years, Pitt football lost at least 5 games. Not since 1981 had Pitt won more than 10 games in a season. They had just two 10 win seasons since 1981, and that was in 2009 and this year.

Pat Narduzzi was fighting a lot of recent history. For a proud football program, they had been stuck being decent but never great.

Saturday night Pat Narduzzi, star QB Kenny Pickett, and the rest of the Pitt Panther shattered the last 30 years of Pitt football by winning the ACC Championship against Wake Forest.

The Panthers are now 11-2 and headed to NY6 bowl game in Pitt’s greatest season since that 11-1 1981 season.

I said this about Pat Narduzzi when he was hired back in 2014.

“I think Narduzzi fits the identity that Pittsburgh needs to have to be successful going forward.”

Through up and downs, hotseat whispers, big wins, and head scratching losses Pittsburgh stuck with Narduzzi and now they are rewarded with an ACC Championship.

Congratulations to the Pitt Panthers and their fans.
