ACC Basketball Power Rankings for November 28, 2021

We’ll add NET rankings later in the season.

15. Pittsburgh (2-4, 0-0) NET Ranking —

Last Week: 15

Pitt is going to awfully difficult to unseat from the bottom of the ACC Power Rankings. They are a dreadful basketball team.

14. Syracuse (3-3, 0-0) NET Ranking —

Last Week: 4

Syracuse lost to Colgate by 15, and now 3 of their last 4.

13. Miami (4-3, 0-0) NET Ranking —

Last week: 12

Maybe that Dayton loss wasn’t so bad. Dayton did beat Kansas after all, but that game against Alabama got real ugly in the 2nd half.

12. Boston College (4-3, 0-0) NET Ranking —

Last week: 13

Boston College can’t close games out, but they’ve been competitive even in their losses.

11. Notre Dame (3-2, 0-0) NET Ranking —

Last Week: 7

Notre Dame has the same problem as BC. Competitive, but can’t close out games.

10. Clemson (5-2, 0-0) NET Ranking —

Last Week: 5

Clemson is 5 minutes from having wins over St. Bonaventure and West Virginia, but alas more competitive but close losses.

9. Wake Forest (6-1, 0-0) NET Ranking —

Last week: 8

Wake Forest got a reality check against LSU, but 6-1 is still 6-1 for the Deacs.

8. Georgia Tech (5-1, 0-0) NET Ranking —

Last Week : 11

Georgia Tech survived a week with the flu and avoided having any bad losses. The win at Georgia showed some guts. If they can beat Wisconsin at home, then Josh Pastner may really have something.

7. NC State (5-1, 0-0) NET Ranking —

Last Week: 8

NC State is a 6 point loss to Oklahoma State from being undefeated.

6. North Carolina (4-2, 0-0) NET Ranking —

Last Week: 3

North Carolina is all offense and no defense at this point. Michigan provides an opportunity for a quality win this week.

5. Virginia Tech (5-2, 0-0) NET Ranking —

Last Week: 2

Virginia Tech looks like a NCAA team, but faded late against Memphis and Xavier. Those are wins they could have used come March.

3. Florida State (5-1, 0-0) NET Ranking —

Last Week: 6

Florida State won the Jacksonville Classic in a blowout of Missouri. Something still isn’t right with this team, but they are 5-1. A game at Purdue will tell us where they are really at.

4. Virginia (5-2, 0-0) NET Ranking —

Last Week: 14

Virginia picked up one of the better ACC OOC wins of the year by knocking Providence on their way to the Roman Legends Classis Championship. This is not the same team that lost to Navy and by 20 to Houston.

2. Louisville (5-1, 0-0) NET Ranking —

Last Week: 10

Louisville recovered from an Furman loss, to win the Battle of Atlantis title. They beat Mississippi State and Maryland. Two teams many expect to make the NCAA Tournament.

1. Duke  (7-0, 0-0) NET Ranking —

Last Week: 1

Duke isn’t just the ACC’s best team, they are country’s best team after beating Gonzaga in a regular season classic. They can win it all.
