ACC Power Rankings after Week 11

ACC Team of the Week : Wake Forest – for a 48 – 45 win over NC State.

14. Duke (3-7)

Last Week: 14

Duke just got blown out by a bad Virginia Tech team. To be the worst team in the ACC takes something special, and that’s who Duke is.

13. Georgia Tech (3-7)

Last Week : 13

Georgia Tech will finish 2021 with 3 wins again for the 3rd straight year with Notre Dame and Georgia left. Jackets have lost patience with the Geoff Collins show.

12. Virginia Tech (5-5)

Last Week: 12

Virginia Tech can still reach a bowl game, but it wasn’t enough to save Justine Fuente’s job.

11. Syracuse (5-5)

Last week: 7

What happened to Syracuse in their blowout to Louisville? The season could end on a 3 game losing streak.

10. North Carolina (5-5)

Last Week: 10

North Carolina should get bowl eligible with Wofford this week. They pushed Pitt, but then the rains came.

9. Boston College (6-4)

Last Week: 11

Boston College is a different team with Phil Jurkovec at QB. Florida State is an intriguing game this week.

8. Miami (5-5)

Last Week: 8

Just when you thought Miami had found it, the collapsed late against Florida State. If they lose to Virginia Tech, all mid-season gains will be lost.

7. Florida State (4-6)

Last Week: 10

4th and 14 will be etched in FSU lore. Florida State broke the losing streak to Miami, and there have been positive second half signs.

8. Louisville (5-5)

Last Week: 9

I did not see Louisville pounding Syracuse the way they did. Duke should get them bowl eligible.

5. Virginia  (6-4)

Last Week: 5

You wonder if Virginia could have played with Notre Dame if Brennan Armstrong had been available. Pitt’s Kenny Pickett against that defense could be ugly this week.

4. Clemson (7-3)

Last Week: 4

I’m not sure Clemson found out much about themselves in blowing out UCONN. We’ll know more against Wake Forest.

3. NC State (7-3)

Last Week: 1

NC State couldn’t make 3rd down stops against Wake Forest. Now they have to win out, and hope the Deacs lose twice to win the Atlantic Division. Syracuse is next.

2. Pitt (8-2)

Last week: 3

The Coastal Division is right there for the taking for Pitt. They can’t slip against Virginia at home.

1. Wake Forest (9-1)

Last Week: 1

Wake Forest took care of NC State at home, and just needs a split between Clemson and Boston College to go to Charlotte. They’ll have to earn it, but their offense is a load.
