ACC Football Power Rankings after Week 16

#StayHealthy and practice social distancing.

ACC Team of the Week : Clemson  – for their 34-10  win over Notre Dame

15. Duke (2-9)

Last week: 15

When David Cutcliffe took over Duke in 2008 they were the ACC’s worst team. 13 years later Duke is back at the bottom.

14. Syracuse (1-10)

Last Week : 14

Dino Babers hasn’t taken near the criticism of some under-performing coaches this year, but he better produce next year.

13. Florida State (3-6)

Last Week: 13

You’ve got look real deep to find any positives in Mike Norvell’s first season.

12. Georgia Tech (3-7)

Last Week: 12

3 win seasons won’t cut it next year in Atlanta for Geoff Collins.

11. Wake Forest (4-4)

Last Week: 11

Wake Forest gets Wisconsin in their bowl. A win would send Wake Forest flying up these rankings.

10. Louisville (4-7)

Last Week: 10

Scott Satterfield was great in his first year, and underachieved in his second. His flirting with other jobs didn’t sit well with Louisville fans. He’s needs a good third season.

9. Virginia (5-5)

Last Week: 9

It wasn’t a bad season for Bronco’s bunch, but they sure would like that Virginia Tech game back.

8. Virginia Tech (5-6)

Last Week: 8

No coach needs a solid season 2021 more than Justin Fuente, but that win over Virginia was so nice.

7. Pitt (6-5)

Last week: 7

Pat Narduzzi has been perfectly average at Pitt. At some point the program needs to make a move upward or move on.

6. Boston College (6-5)

Last Week: 6

I’m looking forward to Jeff Hafley’s second season. He did some good things at BC in year one.

5. NC State (8-3)

Last Week: 5

Dave Doeren is your ACC COY… period. Kentucky is a very winnable bowl game.

4. Miami (8-2)

Last Week: 4

Miami gets Oklahoma State in their bowl game. That’s a decent matchup, and could take the bad taste out of the UNC loss.

3. North Carolina (8-3)

Last Week: 3

North Carolina got the Orange Bowl bid to face Texas A&M. Then several of their best players opted out which is fine, but it will be an uphill battle against Texas A&M.

2. Notre Dame (10-1)

Last Week: 1

Notre Dame – meet December/January Clemson where they typically destroy everything in their path including top 5 teams. You were just next.

1. Clemson (10-1)

Last Week: 2

Dabo Swinney and his staff just find ways to have Clemson peaking in time for the playoffs. They wiped out a very good Notre Dame team in the ACC Championship Game.
