ACC Power Rankings after Week 9

#StayHealthy and practice social distancing.

ACC Team of the Week : Virginia  – for their 44-41 win over North Carolina

15. Syracuse (1-6)

Last Week : 15

Remember when Dino Babers was one of the hottest coaches in the country a couple of years ago? Syracuse may not win another game this year.

14. Georgia Tech (2-5)

Last Week: 12

Georgia Tech has been outscored 152-47 in their last 3 games, just lost 31-13 to Notre Dame in a mostly non-competitive game, and it was considered progress.

13. Duke (2-5)

Last week: 14

Duke got a welcome win over Charlotte. I think they have a couple of more wins in them this year.

12. Florida State (2-4)

Last Week: 13

Florida State has had few highlights this year. If they are to salvage this season, it starts with Pitt this weekend.

11. Pitt (3-4)

Last week: 11

The natives are getting real frustrated with Pat Narduzzi. This was supposed to be Pitt’s season.

10. Louisville (2-5)

Last Week: 9

Nobody thought Louisville would be 2-5 at this point. They have to win out to have a winning season. Now a COVID outbreak has hit the team.

9. NC State (4-2)

Last Week: 9

NC State is a soft 4-2 especially without QB Devin Leary, but once you get past Miami the schedule is very manageable.

8. Virginia (2-4)

Last Week: 8

I told you last week Virginia was better than their record. Now ask UNC. They are the best .500 or under team in the ACC.

7. North Carolina (4-2)

Last Week: 4

North Carolina’s defense is atrocious, and it’s holding the Heels back.

6. Virginia Tech (4-2)

Last Week: 6

The Hokies when they are on can be a difficult out. Liberty will be a tricky test.

5. Boston College (4-3)

Last Week: 5

Boston College nearly shocked the world by going toe to toe with Clemson. Jeff Hafley is doing a super job.

4. Wake Forest (4-2)

Last Week: 6

Wake Forest has won 4 games in row. They’ve earned their spot in the top 4 of the ACC.

3. Miami (4-1)

Last Week: 3

Miami has already played Clemson, and avoids Notre Dame. If they take care of business, they could find themselves back in the top 8.

2. Notre Dame (6-0)

Last Week: 2

Notre Dame easily dispatched Georgia Tech setting up one of the biggest November ACC games in history with Clemson.

1. Clemson (7-0)

Last Week: 1

Was Clemson looking ahead to Notre Dame against Boston College? I don’t think so. They better clean things up against Notre Dame.
