ACC Team of the Week : Clemson  – for their 42-17 win over Miami

15. Florida State (1-3)

Last Week: 14

Florida State lands at the bottom of this list with the Duke win. They did show signs of life against Notre Dame.

14. Wake Forest (1-2)

Last Week: 12

Can the Deacs pull away from Florida State next week? They play Virginia.

13. Louisville (1-3)

Last Week: 9

Who could have seen Louisville 1-3 after a sloppy loss to Georgia Tech? Notre Dame will send them to 1-4.

12. Syracuse (1-3)

Last Week : 11

Syracuse looked lifeless against Duke, and Liberty could be a test. Andre Cisco is lost for the season, as the hits keep coming.

11. Duke (1-4)

Last week: 15

Break out Duke after beating Syracuse. NC State will be a much tougher opponent.

10. Georgia Tech (2-2)

Last Week: 13

Georgia Tech played their best game of the season in a 46-27 win over Louisville. They’ll need that and more against Clemson next.

9. Pitt (3-2)

Last week: 8

Made a 58 yarder FG to tie BC, then lose on a missed XP. That’s Pitt football in a nutshell. They’ll face an angry Miami team Saturday.

8. Virginia (1-2)

Last Week: 6

Virginia had a flat effort against NC State. Wake Forest is a pivotal game.

7. Boston College (3-1)

Last Week: 10

Jeff Hafley is making believers in the ACC. Beat Virginia Tech and the season could really take off.

6. NC State (3-1)

Last Week: 7

Has any team improved more in the last 3 weeks than NC State? Put them in the top 25 if they beat Duke.

5. Virginia Tech (2-1)

Last Week: 5

No shame in losing to UNC in a shootout, but the Hokies can’t follow it up with a loss against a dangerous BC team.

4. Miami (3-1)

Last Week: 3

Miami was totally overmatched by Clemson. They can’t let that loss become two with Pitt up next.

3. North Carolina (3-0)

Last Week: 4

North Carolina is now ranked 5th in the country. If they are that good, they should beat FSU rather easily.

2. Notre Dame (3-0)

Last Week: 2

Notre Dame struggled a bit with Florida State, but then settled down. With Louisville next, ND should move to 4-0.

1. Clemson (4-0)

Last Week: 1

When Clemson plays like they did against Miami, there isn’t team in the ACC that stay with 17 of them. For that matter that includes any team in college football save maybe 1 or 2.
