ACC Power Rankings after Week 2

#StayHealthy and practice social distancing.

ACC Team of the Week : Miami  – for their win at Louisville (47-34)

15. Syracuse (0-2)

Last Week : 15

Syracuse could start each of their drives at their opponent’s 20 and have trouble scoring. Putting up 10 points against Pitt was an improvement from the week before.

14. Wake Forest (0-2)

Last Week: 13

Wake Forest’s defense can’t stop anyone. Notre Dame’s COVID outbreak delays their game a couple of weeks.

13. Duke (0-2)

Last week: 10

That was an ugly effort against Boston College. The offense has very little talent outside TE Noah Gray to help QB Chase Brice.

12. Florida State (0-1)

Last Week: 12

Mike Norvell has Covid-19, and red-hot Miami is next.

11. NC State (1-0)

Last Week: 14

NC State beat Wake Forest 45-42. Hey a win is win.

10. Georgia Tech (1-1)

Last Week: 9

Georgia Tech had a mistake filled performance against UCF, but still was only down 7 early in the 4th quarter before UCF pulled away.

9. Virginia (0-0)

Last Week: 8

We’ll finally get to see Virginia against Duke this Saturday… probably.

8. Virginia Tech (0-0)

Last Week: 7

Virginia Tech’s offense should be very excited to see NC State’s defense. Will they be able to field a full team?

7. Boston College (1-0)

Last Week: 11

Jeff Hafley and Boston College had strong debut to 2020 with a 26-6 win over Duke. This might be a team to watch. Texas St. is up next.

6. Louisville (1-1)

Last Week: 4

Louisville’s defense looked slow, undersized, and poorly coached against Miami. The offense did look good though.

5. Pitt (2-0)

Last week: 5

Pittsburgh took care of Syracuse with strong defensive performance. Their game with Louisville is pivotal.

4. North Carolina (1-0)

Last Week: 2

North Carolina did nothing wrong when their game was cancelled, but Miami and Notre Dame just looked too impressive to not move up.

3. Miami (2-0)

Last Week: 6

Miami looked fantastic against Louisville. They could send FSU’s season spiraling into the abyss with a win next Saturday.

2. Notre Dame (2-0)

Last Week: 3

Notre Dame destroyed South Florida. That’s the way we expected the Irish to look.

1. Clemson (2-0)

Last Week: 1

Clemson starters look razor sharp, but should there be any concern at some of the lackluster play by the backups?
