ACC Power Rankings after Week 1

#StayHealthy and practice social distancing.

ACC Team of the Week : Georgia Tech  – for their Upset win at Florida State (16-13)

15. Syracuse (0-1)

Last Week : N/A

Syracuse got a UNC team going through the motions, and lost 31-6. Now they get nasty Pitt team.

14. NC State (0-0)

Last Week: N/A

Lose to Wake Forest and NC State might find themselves at the bottom of the list.

13. Wake Forest (0-1)

Last Week: N/A

I’m not penalizing Wake Forest for losing to Clemson, I just don’t think there are a lot of ACC teams worse.

12. Florida State (0-1)

Last Week: N/A

I think defensively Florida State has talent. The offensive line on the otherhand… It was a nightmare debut for new head coach Mike Norvell against Georgia Tech.

11. Boston College (0-0)

Last Week: N/A

Boston College’s good O-Line vs a feisty Duke D-Line that held their own against Notre Dame should be a battle this week.

10. Duke (0-1)

Last week: N/A

Duke is a pretty strong 10. They played very respectably at Notre Dame.

9. Georgia Tech (1-0)

Last Week: N/A

Georgia Tech has found a QB to build around in Jeff Sims. They stunned FSU at Doak. If they beat UCF this week, I’ll move them into the top 5.

8. Virginia (0-0)

Last Week: N/A

Virginia is not set to play until September 26.

7. Virginia Tech (0-0)

Last Week: N/A

Virginia Tech lost Caleb Farley, have an outbreak of COVID, and Devon Hunter got suspended.

6. Miami (1-0)

Last Week: N/A

We’re really going to find out about Miami when they head to Louisville this weekend in a marquee game.

5. Pitt (1-0)

Last week: N/A

Do not sleep on Pittsburgh. This is a very dangerous team.

4. Louisville (1-0)

Last Week: N/A

The Cardinals are going to put up a ton of points this year. I’m really looking forward to their game with Miami.

3. Notre Dame (1-0)

Last Week: N/A

Notre Dame had a lackluster performance against Duke and were outplayed a significant portion of the game. South Florida should help right the ship.

2. North Carolina (1-0)

Last Week: N/A

North Carolina was sloppy early against Syracuse, but I love their skill position talent. Charlotte shouldn’t offer much resistance.

1. Clemson (1-0)

Last Week: N/A

Trevor Lawrence was throwing lasers against Wake Forest. The Citadel is time to pad the stats.
