#StayHealthy and practice social distancing

Well we are still hoping there will be a college football season. There are plenty of posts regarding the probability of that, but if there is we’re going to have top 50 ACC players ranked for the season. We’ll largely take our top 5 at each position rankings for 45 of the 50.

Players 1-5 | Players 11-15 | Players 16-20 | Players 21-25 | Players 26-30 | Players 31-35 | Players 36-40 | Players 41-45 | Players 46-50

6) Sage Surratt, Wake Forest – #1 Wide Receiver in the ACC

Sage Surratt had a fine season with 66 receptions, 1,001 yards receiving and 11 TDs – except that wasn’t a full season. It was better than fine, Sage Surratt was putting up video game type numbers in just 9 games. Over the course of a full season Surratt would have been looking at over 90 receptions, 1400 yards receiving, and 15 TDs. If he’s fully healthy, he could push for All-America Honors.

If he comes out after his junior season, he’s projected to go in the 2nd round. Can he reach the first round?

7) Jaylen Twyman, Pittsburgh  – #2 Defensive Lineman in the ACC

The ACC is full of NFL quality defensive lineman, and Pitt’s Jalen Twyman is another one. Twyman is the best defensive linemen at Pittsburgh since the great Aaron Donald. Twyman had a 10.5 sacks last year, and was named 2nd team-All American by multiple publications. He could be a 1st round NFL pick.

8) Tamorrion Terry, Florida State – #2 Wide Receiver in the ACC

Florida State doesn’t have nearly the talent it did during their hey day of a few years ago. Don’t tell that to Tamorrion Terry who is one of the best receivers in the country. Last season Terry had nearly 1200 yards receiving and 9 TDs. He averaged nearly 20 yards a reception.

NFL Draft scouts have said Terry has 1st round talent, and at 6’4” has the size they covet.

9) Chazz Surratt, North Carolina – #1 Linebacker in the ACC

North Carolina doesn’t only have top flight players on offense. Chazz Surratt is this year’s number 1 ACC linebacker going into the 2020 season. After a great 1st team All-ACC season in 2019, the Senior is looking for All-America honors in 2020. His 115 tackles and 15 tackles for loss had him runner-up for the ACC defensive player of the year last season. He could end up being a first round pick in next year’s NFL Draft.

10) Paris Ford, Pittsburgh – #1 Safety in the ACC

Let’s be honest, sometimes we forget a little bit about Pittsburgh, but so far in a our player rankings which school has the most – best player at their position in the ACC? Clemson has QB Trevor Lawrence and RB Travis Etienne, and now Pittsburgh has the conference’s best offensive lineman in Jimmy Morrissey and now they have the conference’s best safety in pre-season All-American Paris Ford.

Last season Ford had 97 tackles, 11 pass breakups, and 3 interceptions. ProFootballNetwork has Ford as the number 2 draftable safety in the country. In fact, the ACC has 3 of the top 7 safeties on that list.
