Ranking the Top 50 football players in the ACC for 2020. (11-15)

#StayHealthy and practice social distancing

Well we are still hoping there will be a college football season. There are plenty of posts regarding the probability of that, but if there is we’re going to have top 50 ACC players ranked for the season. We’ll largely take our top 5 at each position rankings for 45 of the 50.

Players 1-5 | Players 6-10 | Players 16-20 | Players 21-25 | Players 26-30 | Players 31-35 | Players 36-40 | Players 41-45 | Players 46-50

11) Andre Cisco, Syracuse – #2 Safety in the ACC

Syracuse safety Andre Cisco returns as the FBS active leader in interceptions with 12. Cisco has been one of the countrys’ most outstanding safeties the last 2 years. His defensive ball skills are considered some of the best in college football.

He’s projected as round 2 NFL pick, with the possibility to move into the 1st round.

12) Gregory Rousseau, Miami – #3 Defensive Lineman in the ACC  (Prior to Opt Out)

Does Miami have the best defensive line in the ACC? Gregory Rousseau is an All-American in making after a tremendous freshman season. Fellow defensive lineman Quincy Roche, just missed our top 5 list. At 6’7″ Rousseau was described as consistently dominant and future All-Pro by NFL.com

13) Ian Book, Notre DameWould have been the #3 Quarterback in the ACC

Ian Book may not have the physical gifts of the current list of ACC players, but his results are undeniable. Last season he threw for over 3,000 yards with 34 TDs and just 6 interceptions. He’s more mobile than you’d think with 546 yards on the ground for a nearly 5 yards per caryy average. He led the Irish to the 2018 playoffs, and an 11 win 2019.

14) Derion Kendrick, Clemson – #2 Cornerback in the ACC

Derion Kendrick was switched on an emergency basis to CB in the spring of 2019, and turned into 2nd team All-ACC selection. He had 51 tackles last season with 2 interceptions. With a full year to continue learning the CB position, he could become another 1st round NFL pick for a CB from the ACC. After just 1 year playing the position he was projected as a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

15) Tutu Atwell, Louisville – #3 Wide Receiver in the ACC

An ACC school has a QB, RB, and WR in the top 5 of our player rankings, and it’s not Clemson. In fact there are two ACC schools, that have pulled this trick in 2020 – Louisville and North Carolina. Tutu Atwell is the WR that makes the list for Louisville after an excellent 2019 that saw him have 69 catches for 1200 yards and 11 TDs.

He’s been clocked with a sub 4.3 forty, making him one of the fastest players in the ACC if not the fastest. The Louisville offense is going to be nightmare to deal with.
