#StayHealthy and practice social distancing

Well we are still hoping there will be a college football season. There are plenty of posts regarding the probability of that, but if there is we’re going to have top 50 ACC players ranked for the season. We’ll largely take our top 5 at each position rankings for 45 of the 50.

Players 1-5 | Players 6-10 | Players 11-15 | Players 21-25 | Players 26-30 | Players 31-35 | Players 36-40 | Players 41-45 | Players 46-50

16) Brevin Jordan, Miami – #1 Tight End in the ACC

Who was the ACC’s number 1 Tightend in 2019? Miami’s Brevin Jordan. Who is the ACC’s number 1 Tightend in 2020? Miami’s Brevin Jordan. The first team All-ACC TE, had 35 receptions for nearly 500 yards in 2019. Add Jordan to Miami list of great past Tight Ends. He’s projected as a 1st or 2nd round NFL pick.

17) Javian Hawkins, Louisville – #2 Running Back in the ACC

Clemson isn’t the only school with a top 5 ACC QB and RB. Louisville also finds itself with both, as well as North Carolina. Louisville RB Javian Hawkins had a tremendous freshman season rushing for over 1,500 yards for a nearly 6 yards per carry average with 9 TDs.

Hawkins had 100+ rushing yards games against the likes of Notre Dame and Clemson, and was second team All-ACC in 2019. He could push for higher honors in 2020.

18) Hamsah Nasirildeen, Florida State – #3 Safety in the ACC

Hamsah Nasirildeen drew comparisons to Clemson’s elite defensive player Isaiah Simmons in the aforementioned ProFootballNetwork safety article. That’s high praise.

Nasirildeen had 101 tackles last year for the Seminoles, and is one of the most versatile defensive players in the conference. He’s another ACC safety that projects as a round 2 NFL pick.

19) Christian Darrisaw, Virginia Tech – #2 Offensive Lineman in the ACC

We have him Christian Darrisaw 2nd on list of returning ACC linemen. Pro Football Focus calls Christian Darrisaw the best returning offensive lineman in the ACC.  Darrisaw has been a top-notch lineman since his arrival at Virginia Tech. In 2019 he made some several All-ACC teams. I’ve already seen him projected as high as a 2nd round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

20) Jeremiah Owusu-Kormoah, Notre Dame – Would have been the #2 Linebacker in the ACC

Owusu-Koromoah is absolute stud at LB for the Irish. He comes into 2020, on a number of pre-season All-American teams and is considered a possible first round NFL pick. Last season he had 80 tackles and 13.5 TFL. North Carolina’s Chazz Surratt will have to hold of Owusu-Kormoah as the ACC’s top LB.
