#StayHealthy and practice social distancing

Well we are still hoping there will be a college football season. There are plenty of posts regarding the probability of that, but if there is we’re going to have top 50 ACC players ranked for the season. We’ll largely take our top 5 at each position rankings for 45 of the 50.

Players 1-5 | Players 6-10 | Players 11-15 | Players 16-20 | Players 21-25 | Players 26-30 | Players 31-35 | Players 41-45 | Players 46-50

36) Nick Sciba, Wake Forest – #1 Special Teams Players in the ACC

37) Tyler Davis, Clemson – #5 Defensive Lineman in the ACC

Tyler Davis is the next in line of great Clemson defensive linemen. The DT was a 2nd team All-ACC pick last year as a freshman. He had 51 tackles, 9 TFLs, and 5.5 sacks in a very strong 2019 season. Davis and Miami’s Gregory Rousseau, Miami are the future of ACC defensive linemen.

38) Hendon Hooker, Virginia Tech – #5 Quarterback in the ACC

When Hendon Hooker became the starting QB at Virginia Tech in Week 5, the Hokies offense took off.  We argue that if Hooker was playing vs. Notre Dame, the Hokies win that game.

Hooker is playing behind a sneaky good offensive line, which should the Hokies a better running game than in recent years. That should allow Hooker to flourish, and he was already pretty good last year totally nearly 2000 yards passing and running in just 8 games.

39) Xavier Thomas, Clemson

Xavier Thomas has as much pure talent and raw ability as any defense player in the ACC. Thomas can at times be explosive off the edge. He hasn’t quite been the dominant some have expected though. As he enters his senior season, he has over 70 career tackles. If he can play consistently at a level many feel he is capable he could be a top 3 round NFL pick.

40) Charles Snowden, Virginia – #3 Linebacker in the ACC

Charles Snowden and Noah Taylor may form the best pair of linebackers in the ACC. At 6’7″ Snowden at has the frame NFL scouts covet. He had 72 tackles with 11.5 tackles for loss He is a definite NFL prospect that should go somewhere in the middle rounds.
