Who is in the ACC’s chase for the Orange Bowl? 11/6/2018 Edition

The Orange Bowl will select the highest ranked non-playoff ACC Team.

Clemson (9-0, 6-0)

Just avoid a loss, and Clemson will not be going to the Orange Bowl. Believe me they have no interest in that game. They have their sights on bigger prizes. This week they face NC State.

Wake Forest (7-1, 6-1)

Here’s a prediction… If Wake Forest wins at Virginia Tech next week, they’ll go to the Orange Bowl. Wake Forest will lose to Clemson, but they’ll beat Duke at home and then reeling Syracuse on the road. They defeated NC State this past weekend, and if the defense holds up they’ll be headed to Miami.

Virginia (6-3, 4-2)

Virginia kept alive their Orange Bowl hopes with a win at UNC this past weekend. Georgia Tech and Liberty should be wins to get Virginia to 8-3, 5-2, and then they host Virginia Tech in a game that will loom large for their Division title and possibly Orange Bowl hopes .

Louisville (5-3, 3-2)

Louisville’s only chance is to win out. They have to head to Miami and face the resurgent Canes. It won’t stay easy for the Cards to stay in the mix with 3 road opponents in their last 4 game.

Virginia Tech (5-3, 2-2)

Oh if the Hokies could have stole that game at Notre Dame. They were so close, until the Hokie defense that played so well wilted late as Notre Dame marched down the field with ease. for the game winning drive. The Orange Bowl is not dead though. Win out and the Hokies are there. The game with Wake Forest is is huge.
