It’s a Clemson and Alabama world, the rest are playing for 3rd

I have come to this conclusion like the title says, it’s a Clemson and Alabama world and the rest are playing for the New Year’s 6. I do not say this as a fan of either of these teams. However, the proof is in the recruiting pudding. When Clemson is bringing in the number 1 quarterback DJ Uiagalelei who isn’t from South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas, or Florida but Bellflower CA, you take notice. Alabama has a player (Traeshon Holden) in their 2020 recruiting class that is also from California. When Clemson and Alabama are able to go outside of their natural recruiting bases in the south and poach kids from California it’s showing they are on another level from everyone else in the country.

How are kids from California being lured away from USC’s and Oregon’s of the world and going to schools that are located in the south? These kids are leaving the west coast for South Carolina and Alabama. This proves that the kids are looking for more than tradition and staying close to home. High school kids want to win and get to the NFL and Alabama and Clemson are winning and putting kids in the pros. In the brief history of the CFP Clemson has only missed it once, and Alabama has made it every year.

The gap between Alabama and Clemson are pulling away from the rest of college football. Georgia seems to be the only team that is closing the gap and might get into this conversation as soon as this season. Everyone else? The gap is growing and as long as their coaches remain in Tuscaloosa AL, and Clemson SC it doesn’t seem to be closing.

Every other school in the country is falling further and further behind and are playing for the right to be sacrificed to Clemson and Alabama. Teams are not close to them talent wise, but in a one game and out playoff scenario, anything can happen. For the foreseeable future though, it’s going to be playing for 2 other playoff spots because 2 have already been spoken for.
