NC State’s 3 Most Recent Nationally Relevant Athletic Results.

Do you want to find out the health of your favorite ACC schools athletic program? When was the last time they did something nationally relevant?

This summer will list the 3 most recent nationally relevant athletic results for each ACC school. This would be one of the following.

College Football Bowl Win

Sweet 16 in Men’s or Women’s Basketball 

Baseball Super Regional 

National Championship in any other Sport 

Most 3 Recent Nationally Relevant Results for Each School

Virginia | Florida State | Georgia Tech | UNC | Duke | Miami | Pittsburgh | Syracuse | Clemson | Virginia Tech | Wake Forest | Louisville | Boston College

NC State falls into that good not great athletics program. They may not have the titles of a Clemson or Virginia, but they are in a lot better position than a number of ACC schools.

Women’s Basketball Sweet 16 –  March 30, 2019

Wes Moore has built the NC State women’s basketball team into a pretty strong basketball program. Their 2019 team won 28 games, made the sweet 16 and finished 10 the country. This would make it back to back to Sweet 16 years.

Women’s Basketball Sweet 16 –  March 23, 2018

2018 would mark the Wolfpack’s first Sweet 16 since 2007 and the great Kay Yow years. It was also the women Wolfpack’s first year finishing ranked in the top 25 since then too.

NC State 52 Arizona St. 31  (Sun Bowl) – December 29, 2017

One of the first tangible signs that Dave Doeren was turning around the NC State football program was his 2017 team. This team finished 9-4 with a 21 point bowl victory or Arizona State in the Sun Bowl. They also finished the year in the top 25.
