UNC’s 3 Most Recent Nationally Relevant Athletic Results.

Do you want to find out the health of your favorite ACC schools athletic program? When was the last time they did something nationally relevant?

This summer we will list the 3 most recent nationally relevant athletic results for each ACC school. This would be one of the following.

College Football Bowl Win

Sweet 16 in Men’s or Women’s Basketball

Baseball Super Regional

National Championship in any other Sport

Most 3 Recent Nationally Relevant Results for Each School

Virginia | Florida State | Georgia Tech | DukePittsburgh | Miami | Syracuse | Clemson | Virginia Tech | Wake Forest | Louisville | NC State | Boston College

North Carolina has historically been very good all around with their athletics. How good have they been recently? It looks like pretty good still.

Baseball College Super Regional – June 10, 2019

North Carolina baseball followed up their ACC Title, with a run to the Super Regional. In a bit of a surprise they were knocked out by Auburn, but it was still another strong baseball season from Mike Fox and his team.

 Men’s Basketball Sweet 16 – March 29, 2019

UNC is a blue blood basketball program. We all know that. When they don’t make at least the Sweet 16 it’s a surprise. The Heels made it again this past season where their 2019 post-season nemesis Auburn knocked them out again. The Heels will surely be making it back the Sweet 16 or better in the not to distant future.

Field Hockey National Champion – November 18, 2018

UNC is as much a Field Hockey Blue Blood as a men’s basketball Blue Blood. In the last 4 years, they’ve made the national title game 3 times. They have 7 national titles since 1989 including this past year when they won number 7 in November 2018.
