Recently we reviewed the ACC’s best 25 OOC wins of the decade so far. Some really good wins got left off the list, so I decided for a little off-season reading to give you the best five OOC wins for each ACC team so far this decade

Virginia Tech | Georgia Tech | Duke | UNC | Virginia | Miami | Pittsburgh | Clemson | Wake Forest | Florida State | Boston College | Syracuse | NC State
1. Louisville 33 #4 Florida 23 – January 2, 2013 (Not ACC Member)
If Louisville had been in the ACC, when Louisville beat a top 5 Florida team in Sugar Team this surely would have been a top 10 ACC OOC win of the decade. The final score didn’t indicate just how much the Cardinal’s dominated a Gator team that had 3 top 10 wins. We knew by this time the Cardinals were coming to the ACC, and this win got a lot of people excited about Louisville joining the ACC. QB Teddy Bridgewater shredded the vaunted Florida Gator defense to pieces.
2. Louisville 27 Texas A&M 21 – December 30, 2015
This was Louisville QB Lamar Jackson’s coming out party. In a 27 – 21 over Texas A&M in the Music City Bowl, Jackson had over 450 yards of offense and accounted for 4 touchdowns. It put Jackson on the national map, and set the stage for his Heisman Trophy season in 2016. SEC teams lost only two bowls games in 2015, and this was one of them.
3. Louisville 31 Notre Dame 28 – November 22, 2014
This Louisville victory over Notre Dame was the Cardinal’s first big OOC win as an ACC member. This was a Notre Dame team that got ranked as high as #5 earlier in the season, and finished the season 8-5. On the road, and down in the 3rd quarter the Cardinal’s came back for the win. Brandon Radcliff had 136 yards on the ground for Louisville in the game.
4. Louisville 36 Miami 9 – December 28, 2013 (Not ACC Member)
In QB Teddy Bridgewater’s final game and Louisville final game before joining the ACC, the Cardinals more than proved they were ready for ACC competition as they wiped out Miami 36-9 in the Russell Athletic Bowl. Louisville ended the year 12-1. It turned out to be Charlie Strong’s last game as Louisville head coach before moving to his ill-dated tenure at Texas.
5. Louisville 44 Kentucky 40 – November 29, 2014
Louisville beat better Kentucky teams this decade, but this victory over a Kentucky team that finished 5-7 was more significant. Here’s why… ACC/SEC Rivalry week year and after year was considered a measuring stick of where the two conferences stood against each other. Going into 2014, the previous 5 years the ACC had went 2-13 against SEC in these Rivalry Games. Along with Georgia Tech, Florida State, Clemson and this Louisville win over Kentucky – the ACC went 4-0 in 2014. The ACC has gone 13-3 in these games since, and is now considered one of the premier football conferences in the country.
