We’ve reached the Super Regionals portion of the NCAA Baseball tournament, and 4 ACC teams have advanced. One of the great stories of the tournament is the Boston College baseball team. They have reached the Super Regionals for the first time in over 40 years. Boston College blog BCInterruption says the teams has reached rarefied air in Boston College sports.

It is the off-season, so that means nutty expansion rumors are starting up. One of the more comical ones is that ACC’s Grant of Rights was contingent on a starting a network, and is therefore invalid without a network. ACC Blog ACCPrescription reviews the ACC GOR, and it’s a good refresher.  Let’s just make this easy for everyone, no Grant of Rights from any conference is being challenged until the earliest when there are only handful years left on the TV contract.

One the great icons of sport pass away this past weekend – Muhammad Ali. Ali called Louisville, Kentucky home and Louisville blog CardinalSportsZone gives some of thoughts on Muhammad Ali.   

The Miami Hurricanes advanced to the Super Regionals in walk-off fashion. Miami Blog StateoftheU has the recap.
