Should the Miami Hurricanes self-impose a bowl ban?

Since we’re all filling out ballots and voting today, I’ve got a poll you can vote on. There’s a little less at stake here than choosing the leader of the free world, but hey I think the results will still be interesting.

Last Thursday the Miami Hurricanes indicated there was a possibility they may self-impose a bowl ban. David Teel of the Daily Press suggests that doing this doesn’t make much sense.

I don’t think so either, but maybe you think the Canes can avoid some more severe penalties from NCAA later if they self-impose a post-season ban, which include missing a possible ACC Championship game.
